Harajuku for most people is much more like a fashion trend that mostly followed by youngsters. However, Harajuku is more than that, it is one of the famous street in Japan where world fashion trend collided harmonically. Harajaku initially was well known as fashion street since the late 1970s when more fashion outlets were opened in this street. Though the popularity of Harajuku as one of the world’s fashion trend setter is not widely known until the international fashion brands were started to stick their flags in Harajuku street in the early 1990s. Since then new fashion era was started among the youngsters combined with unique and peculiar style of Japanese youngster. Below are some activities you could do while you are in Harajuku:

For you who are looking for branded stuffs Omotesando dori is where you should go. In this street whatever international brand you’re looking for is available. However, for you who are only coming to Japan with a tight budget, you don’t need to worry because Takeshita dori will solve your problem by offering high quality secondhand products. Though the price offered is relatively cheap but if you’re weak with anything cute, you should set your self-control to the maximum level because you will be surrounded by cuteness from cute fashion, cute toys even the souvenirs offered all are cute.

One thing about Harajuku area is you could bring your amateur photography experience to the next level. The best time for the best pictures is Sunday around the Yoyogi Park where a lot of youngsters are dressing in Lolita outfit, cosplaying anime characters any many others unique styles.

Yoyogi Park is more than just a park, it is where all free spirited people are colliding from family having a picnic, a group of young mother doing yoga, some youngsters rehearsing their dance move in cute outfit, musicians trying to introduce their new song, children playing around and many more. Just being among them you will feel as free as a tree spirit.
