When it comes to Nevada the next thing most people look for is the direction to the Sin City, Las Vegas. Well, if gambling and luxury hotel with amazing view of fountains are not what your things and then you need to forget Las Vegas since there are more unknown Nevada available for you to explore. Those places are not deserted but just less sparkling compared to Vegas but totally worth a visit.

Some places are only offering you outdoor activity as per season but in Lake Tahoe the outdoor activity available in a year-round. Don’t worry about ghost, they are just towns which are deserted but you would never know since there are more than 600 ghost towns in Nevada. Most recommended ghost towns for you to get lost to are Rhyolite, Berlin-Ichthyosaur State Park and Metropolis. In those towns you could find empty cabin still complete with its furniture, the ruins of school building and hotel, house made of 50,000 beer bottles and cemetery complex.

Have you heard about ‘the loneliest road in America’? Well, the location is in Nevada. If you taking the road it’s like you’ll take it forever. Miles and miles what you will find is just road with similar views. Surely it is not a kind of trip everyone loves but the view is spectacular and totally Instagramable.

Here comes the main reason you come to Nevada, just admit it that hunting for UFO has been in your wildest dream since you were a kid. Just Northwest of Las Vegas you will find the mysterious Area 51 which mostly associated with alien from famous TV Shows like The X-Files but keep your gun to yourself and take out your camera instead. Visit Alien Research Center to get a selfie with ET and in Little A’Le’ Inn’s parking lot in Rachel, you will find an UFO is being hauled by tow truck, just epic.

Deserting in the Desert

What’s in your mind when you heard the word desert? Miles of sandy terrain? No water? Oasis? Well, just wait until you get deserting in the desert of Death Valley National Park. The view is spectacular since the dried mud is forming a beautiful mud-cracked playas. And then don’t miss enjoy the quite impressive rock formation in Red Rock Canyon. Furthermore, don’t worry about getting thirsty while in desert, in the west you could find a cool bar with Beatty’s Cowboy theme.

If stargazing is your thing and then perhaps there is no better place to do it but in Nevada’s sky, especially in Tonopah which well known to be the place with the darkest sky. You don’t believe it? Just prove it yourself. Furthermore, to complete your journey in Nevada, don’t forget to visit Tonopah Astronomical Society where you could meet the local expertise.
