TIJUANA was once a tourist destination famous around the world for more than a century. Also one of the fastest growing cities in North America.

Dear increasingly rapid advancement of Tijuana, as well as the problems caused by the entry into the Mexican border each year. AIDS epidemic is growing because of the rampant prostitution, unprotected sex, and drug dependence.

The AIDS epidemic is concentrated in specific groups, such as men who have sex with men, transgender people, and people who use injection drugs or prostitutes.

Reported by the Daily Mail, based on studies in 2006, one of 125 men and women aged between 15 and 49 years may be infected with HIV. This does not include children who are diagnosed with the HIV virus because their parents.

Several city facilities was changed for the treatment of patients. A photographer named Malcolm Linton and author Jon Cohen captures images and stories about Tijuana to demonstrate the reality of the matter there.

In their book entitled Tomorrow Is a Long Time, Linton and Cohen followed dozens of people living with HIV and those at high risk of infection with the virus. Drugs used by the majority of sex workers, including Fernanda Sanchez.

In a photo taken Linton, Fernanda looks leaning on a big tree in pink with bold makeup.

He worked in the Red Light District. Fernanda know how to protect themselves from HIV / AIDS, but admitted that customers sometimes very naughty and want to have sex without a condom.

Other photos Linton works featuring a man named Sergio Borrego. Borrego is the health workers who help hospitals AIDS in Tijuana. In the photo, the Borrego looks put a net in the face of a patient named Pedro Robles (51) so that no flies swarming around the patient when he died.

Pedro was in the hospital six days earlier. However, the convoluted bureaucracy makes Pedro pending receive treatment.
